This is our suite of job descriptions for educator, in-training & beginning teacher, fully registered teacher, experienced teacher, team leader/ head teacher/ assistant manager, senior teacher/ centre/service manager roles.
The format for the job descriptions are consistent with how Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) advise on writing job descriptions. It describes what is required through the key tasks and key performance indicators and it describes how the job should be done with the attributes and dispositions the employee should demonstrate while carrying out their key tasks.
Our job descriptions are robust. The Key Performance Indicators, Key Tasks and Responsibilities are linked to Our Values, Our Codes and Our Standards for registered teachers, and Ministry of Education's requirements for Curriculum and Health and Safety. The suite of job descriptions includes defined roles such as Privacy Officer, Health and Safety Officer, Person Responsible, Contact Person.
It includes descriptors to ensure shared understanding between employer and employee pertaining to the key performance indicators. The key performance indicators make clear performance expectations consistent with pay parity rates. Services can ensure that their special character is embedded in these expectations.
